You’re battling to find a party theme, much like Nemo’s dad battled to find his son. Well, you don’t have to go all the way to 2 Wallaby Way, Sydney to plan the ultimate Finding Nemo birthday bash!
With orange, black and blue as your colour scheme, this theme is ideal for both boys and girls, or rather Nemos and Dorys. Green streamers hanging from the ceiling can be used to create the illusion of seaweed, and the many colourful characters lend themselves beautifully to being painted all across the kiddies’ faces.
Using the ever forgetful Dory as your inspiration, plan a treasure hunt for the kids – complete with confusing clues and all. Games like Go Fish and homemade fishing rods are also bound to keep the little ones entertained for hours on end. In addition, give the kiddos bubbles as guest favours to keep the underwater theme going.
When it comes to food and drink, the options are endless. Blue jelly cups and cooldrinks are an absolute must, and you can’t go wrong with orange cheese curls, shell shaped cookies and “seaweed dip” made with cream cheese and chives. In fact, why not serve some of the snacks in cute little plastic beach buckets to complete the picture?
