Chalk Board Ideas for the Home

Chalk boards are known and loved by young and old! Other than that sound when dragging your nails and pulling them down a chalk board to create that seriously squeaky sound that sends shivers down your spine, chalk boards totally rock!

Chalk boards are not just seen in the teacher’s class anymore and are now quite often seen in people’s homes as they are very practical and a fun addition to any home. So, I’ve put together a few ideas on how you can use chalk boards at home below:

• Replace a painted wall with a chalk board in your children’s room – this will not only be a fun idea, it will have them busy for quite some time and the best part is – you can join in too!
• Buy some blackboard paint and paint your chest of drawers and write what can be found in each drawer.
• Use a chalk board for a week day calendar – great for your office area!
• Paint your dining area wall with chalk boards to get your kids to sit around the table and draw and chat or play while you cook supper.
