Alice in Wonderland { Party Theme }

Next to princesses, Alice is probably one of the characters that every little girl aspires to be. Send your little girl on an adventure through the looking glass with these party ideas:

Ages

8 to 12

Colour Scheme

Baby blue and white with dashes of blue (like Alice’s dress), red for the Queen of Hearts, and a mishmash of purple and green to represent the craziness of the Mad Hatter’s tea party.

Look & Feel

It’s all about creating a whimsical and surreal setting. Hang odd bits and bobs in the trees – like books, teacups and chairs even – and make bunting and decorations out of a deck of playing cards. See if you can get your hands on some plastic pink flamingos and fluffy bunnies (real or fake) for the girls to pet and play with.

Fun & Games

There are really no limits! Set up an almighty treasure hunt “down the rabbit hole”, and let the kids create their own props and outfits for a photo session. Set up giant versions of chess and other board games, where the kids themselves become the game pieces, and lawn games like bowls and croquet.

Eats & Treats

Make plenty of “Eat me” and “Drink me” labels to go around, and serve a variety of Mad Hatter’s tea party delights. Tarts, made by the queen of hearts, are also a must and little mini cupcakes like the one Alice ate to crawl through the little door.
