GoBooster Review

I was recently approached by GoBooster to do a review for them. For those of you who are regular followers of Momtrepreneur – you will know how important car safety is for me and so I grabbed at the opportunity to do this particular review.

A little bit about the GoBooster seat

My Review

To start off I must be clear that the seat is not designed to completely replace a normal child seat. It is however perfect for families that have more than one car and / or have a lot of family transporting their kids in their vehicles. This is really where the go-booster comes into its own.

I have been using the seat for about a month and it’s been great. I have my normal car seat for Ethan (my 4 year old) in my car, but when I need to pop out somewhere quickly or in a hurry with Ethan, I often use my husband’s car (more fuel efficient!). In addition, my husband prefers to drive his car (typical guy!) and thanks to having the GoBooster, we don’t have to move seats around from one car to the other – we can now quickly inflate the go-booster, secure the strap and we are safe and ready to go to school. In addition, I can just give the seat to someone else to use if they want to take Ethan somewhere – amazingly convenient!

Ethan is very happy with the seat as it’s very comfortable. Setting the seat up in your car is a total breeze – all you have to do is about 6 blows to go from a flat bag (which can fit into any school bag or suitcase) into a car seat.

The Bag

This is truly a brilliant invention. It is light weight, compact, comfortable and safe. It is very easy to install and can be done even if you are in a hurry. As an added bonus it takes up far less space which is a huge advantage if you have two car seats in the back and you need to squeeze in another adult or child.

One negative which isn’t a biggy for me – the seat it does need to be inflated fairly regularly (it will take you 1 / 2 blows max), but this again is normal as it has a pressure release valve that purposely lets air out for safety reasons. It is not for babies or small kids. My 4 year old is just tall enough for it to be effective.

Regarding the price – the seat currently sells for R895 (includes FREE shipping). This is an great price (in my opinion, of course) for something that helps keep your child safe. I don’t know of many car seats that will cost you less than R1000.

And, the seat includes a 2 year warranty.
