Spa Day Party Theme

There is no greater gift for a teenage daughter, than the gift of being grown up even if just for a day. The spa day party theme is just that, giving your daughter the unique opportunity to sit back, relax and live it up like her stylish Mom would.

13 to 18

Eats & Drinks

The entire party theme is about spoiling the girls with indulgence and luxurious treats, so think of snacks and nibbles that you would generally be spoiled with at a spa day. Think non-alcoholic bubbly and cocktails, a selection of chocolates, finger sandwiches, chocolate coated strawberries, frozen yoghurt, mini muffins and scones. Appointing young “servers” is an excellent way of making younger siblings feel like their part of the celebrations without ruining your teen’s special day.

Fun & Games

While the first prize would be to enlist the services of a professional spa therapist, this might end up costing you an arm and a both legs. The alternative is to ask a younger sister and friends or a group of cousins to help with manicures and pedicures, as well as administer simple treatments like head- and hand massages. The third option is to supply the girls with everything they need for a DIY spa and gossip session – i.e. a selection of nail polishes, lotions, hair accessories, hot stones, sponges and such. Make use of existing features like the swimming pool and outdoor lounge chairs to add to the “spa experience”.

Décor & Goodies

As with any spa experience, the real treat lies in the tranquillity and comfort of the surroundings. It’s therefore recommended that you have plenty of scatter cushions, plump bean bags, foot stools and chaise lounges around, and plush bathrobes and slippers for the girls to dress up in. Set the mood with soft soothing music and light scented candles to further infuse the room with serenity.
