The excitementĀ at my house is in full force since my boys heard that Disney on Ice is BACKĀ AGAIN. The TV ads are out and everytime they see an advert, I hear a shout out – DISNEY ON ICE, Mom – ARE WE GOING?!!
If you don’t have any idea what DISNEY ON ICE is or you haven’t heard of it, let me quicklyĀ introduce you to it.Ā Disney on Ice is a showĀ whereĀ POPULAR Disney characters perform on an ice rink and, yes, it’s lots of skating around going on and it’s a LOT of fun for children and adults to enjoy. Typical characters you will see include Toy StoryĀ charactersĀ such as Buzz Lightyear & Woody, there’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Ariel the Mermaid, and this year, we’re expecting (and hoping) for Olaf to make an appearance.

My twin girls would absolutely freak out, Mickey Mouse Club House is their favorite show at the moment and seeing the characters in real life would make their Year. We would like to go to the JHB show if we win.

Last night while having dinner the advert for the show came on TV in the adjacent room. My 2 year heard it and got up from table, ran to tv and shouted “Anna! Elsa!”. Both my son and daughter are Disney Mad… Lexi will do just about anything to see Frozen and is constantly singing “Let it Go”which is great, except for maybe the fact that she is 4 and forgets the words and from the sounds of things, slightly tone deaf, however i am always telling her that she is singing so nicely, so i know she would just go mad to see Elsa and Anna singing live in person. And my son is crazy for Micky Mouse, he loves watching the Mickey Mouse Club house and although he has some problems, that is one of the few shows he will sit and watch and laugh at, so i know he would he would love it!

Cape Town – My kids too are disney fanatics and love Grandwest Arena for the ice skating. They have NEVER been able to go to disney on ice as each time it comes around I seem to not have money to take them. Its not easy to say that to young kids but bills need to be paid first.
